WSLM IDP/Budget Outreach currently underway

Walter Sisulu Local Municipality is currently on 2023/2024 IDP/Budget Outreach Programme which started in Ward 1 at Venterstad Town Hall on Monday, 17 April 2023. The IDP/Budget roadshows will touch base in all the ward and is expected to be completed in Ward 11 on 04 May 2023. 

The Municipal Systems Act read in conjunction with the Municipal Finance Management Act requires that the municipality must consult local community in developing IDP and Budget to get ward priorities from the community.

Mayor, Cllr. Vania Davids said: "Want resident to be part of planning development in their ward so that they can be able to hold us accountable for their development." 

Once the outreach is concluded all the inputs will factored in the IDP and Budget and presented to Council for approval before implementation in the next Financial Year that will start on 01 July 2023.
